Friend Bank Military Appreciation Day and Ribbon Cutting to be Held Thursday, November 12

 

Dothan, AL     Friend Bank, located at 3105 Ross Clark Circle, across the street from Krispy Kreme, will celebrate its Ribbon Cutting by honoring the military on Thursday, November 12 from 10:00 – 2:00.  The event was previously scheduled for November 10th but was changed due to Hurricane Ida. A live radio remote with WOOF Radio will begin at 9:30. The Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce will preside over the ribbon cutting at 10:00 and then the Dothan High School Jr. ROTC Color Guard will perform. The public is invited to participate as Lt. Mark Ingram along with some of the soldiers from our own Dothan National Guard Armory  receive  donated items which will be sent to deployed soldiers.  The public is invited to participate by donating items such as pre-paid phone cards, postage stamps, individually wrapped hard candy, crackers and cookies.

 

Other Military Appreciation Day participants include Jimmy Shiver (Patriot Guard Riders), Jim McGee (Honor Flight), James Hilburn (DAV), Max Roberts (LAVA), and Larry Hart.  Guest participants will be interviewed to educate the community regarding the functions of these military support groups.  Please plan on joining Friend Bank in honoring our military.   Friend Bank will be serving hotdogs, sodas, and boiled peanuts to the public from 11 A.M. until 2 P.M.
