Free Community Shred Day (Hear More)
On September 11, 2012, from 3:00 until 5:00, Assured Data Destruction, a department of Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center, will be at Friend Bank’s Dothan office. The event will offer residents the opportunity to have their paper records and data storage materials shredded and recycled for free during the Community Shred Day. The event is intended to increase public awareness of the need to securely destroy confidential material in order to prevent identify theft and fraud.
Lorraine Mouery, Vice-President of Friend Bank reiterated Friend’s commitment to the security of its customers’ information. “We at Friend Bank are not satisfied to simply talk about the importance of avoiding identity theft. We are doing something about it. This is why we are a co-sponsor of the Community Shred Day in partnership with Assured Data Destruction. In addition to raising awareness about the most prevalent crime committed against Americans today; Friend Bank offers the ID ProtectAll plan, an Identity Theft protection plan available for free to every Friend Bank customer,” said Mouery.
