Friend Bank Shares Fruit For Christmas
Friend Bank’s Slocomb office recently continued an annual tradition by sharing crates full of fresh citrus fruit with the Slocomb Senior Citizens Center. Each year, Friend purchases the fruit from the students of Slocomb High School, with the proceeds benefitting various projects and programs at the school. Bank employees then deliver the fruit to the Senior Citizens Center, much to the delight of the residents. This year, Friend also included the Geneva County Human Resource Development Corporation (HRDC) as a recipient, with the HRDC planning to include the fresh fruit in their Christmas Food Boxes for 25 low-income clients. Fresh citrus is a true highlight of the holiday season, and Friend is thrilled to once again be able to share with our neighbors while benefitting a worthy cause.
