Friend Giving Trees
Both offices of Friend Bank have once again participated in a “Giving Tree” program designed to help meet special needs at Christmas.
For the second straight year, Friend Dothan partnered with the Taylor Senior Center. The focus was to provide needed items for the seniors of Taylor and the surrounding area. “The need is so vast in this area, and seniors are so often forgotten at Christmas,” said Beverly, the Director of the Taylor Senior Center. To meet this need, Friend Bank collected and shared more than one hundred gifts for the senior citizens of Taylor.
Friend Slocomb partnered with Slocomb Elementary School and provided Christmas gifts for thirty children who otherwise would not have received any gifts this year. The children were given the opportunity to request specific toys and games, and Friend’s Slocomb office had the great pleasure of granting these wishes.
The employees of Friend Bank agree that participating in the Friend Giving Tree program is one of their favorite activities of the Christmas season. Giving is what friends do.
