Friend Giving Tree
Each December, Friend Bank’s employees and customers join together to present Friend Giving Trees in Dothan and Slocomb. The Giving Tree program is designed to help meet special needs at Christmas. It is administered by an employee committee.
This year, Friend Dothan partnered with the Town of Taylor and the Taylor Senior Center. The focus was to provide needed and wanted items for the seniors of Taylor. “This is what we are all about here at the Taylor Senior Center. Making sure our seniors have what they need. It is encouraging to know how much people really care about our seniors. We were able to give 103 gifts because of Friend Bank”, said Beverly Dean, the Director of the Taylor Senior Center.
Friend Slocomb partnered with the Slocomb Elementary Schools. Over 20 children received at least one of their Christmas wishes along with an additional gift or two which was a total surprise. More than 10 different families were touched by the Slocomb Giving Tree.
