Friend Bank Presents Awards to Area High Schools
Friend Bank presented three awards during the Wiregrass Museum of Art Project Installation awards ceremony on Tuesday night, March 2, 2010.
Of the six area High Schools that participated, Dothan High School was the winner of the Overall Installation Award and received a $500.00 grant for their high school art program. Northview High School was the winner of the People’s Choice Award which was chosen by the students and received a $150.00 grant for their High School art program.
During the awards ceremony a student from Rehobeth High School, David Souter, was the recipient of the Best Friend Award. This award was based on teamwork, citizenship and character and was chosen by Mr. Greg Skaggs, the lead mentor for the art installations. David received a large basket filled with candy, art supplies, Friend Bank logo items and a $50.00 Friend Bank gift card.
