Friend Bank Community Room News
Leadership Dothan’s 2010 Class has chosen Helping Hands as its first fundraiser to benefit the Soles for Souls program and the Dothan Rescue Mission.
Tiles will be sold and individual handprints will be made on the tiles at Friend Bank Dothan on February 6, February 13, March 5 and March 6. The tiles will be installed on a wall at a future park site in Dothan. Sharon Whittaker, Class President of Leadership Dothan, said “We could not have done this without the help of Friend Bank. They really are a “Friend” bank! Our goal was to sell 800 tiles. So far we have sold over 500 and we still have a few more tile day events to go. We have no fear that we will meet or even surpass our goal because of their help.”
Friend’s Community Room is a versatile space that can be reserved for board meetings, presentations, book groups, Bible studies, social gatherings and other functions. The room is available to Friend businesses and community groups free of charge. It is a place where friendships and community can grow.
Friend Bank is a third generation family business and one of Alabama’s oldest community banks. The bank operates two full-service banking offices, one in Slocomb and one in Dothan.
